Telecommunication Concept: High Speed Packet Access
Posted on May 3, 2010 |
When we talk about HSPA(High Speed Packet Access) we talk about how technology combine between HSDPA(High Speed Downlink Packet Access) with HSUPA(High Speed Uplink Packet Access). This technology is to improve WCDMA protocol. The next technology HSPA will be call HSPA+.
HSPA is optimize how BTS and Terminal communicate with improved protocol to optimize the usage of radio. HSPA speed can go through 14Mb/s for downlink and 5.8Mb/s for uplink. The speed it self can improve until 5 times for downlink and twice for uplink compare with the previous version of WCDMA technology. Read more
