Latest Photo Software Apple Cause Memory Leaks
Posted on May 13, 2010 |
After a few week after launching of Apple photo software called Aperture 3, this software from Apple already had protested by their user. One of the biggest issue is about the utilization of the memory consume by this software. This software cause memory leaks when run.
It initially emerged from the Apple discussion forum users, some of the user report in that forums that the Aperture 3 ’suck’ a very large computer memory. This issue then cause all of the system become unstable and impact to the performance.
In one case, a user named Ryan Britton migrating library from Aperture Aperture 2 to 3. Not completed in minutes, Aperture 3 instead raises a warning: “Warning: Your startup disk is Almost full”.
As usual, Apple is not willing to comment on this issue. But they promised to fix it immediately at a later date.
Application that using so many memory will cause high impact to the system, because another application of course will need to share the same memory. If another application didn’t get any memory allocation it will cause application will wait until have free memory, it can also cause application become hang. And then in the bad case it will cause all system become hang.
For Aperture 3 issue until now we still didn’t get any update for fixing it. Of course Apple will take this issue seriously. Well see what Apple will do for this issue.
