Americans Smartphone Operating System Battle

Interesting if we scrutinize growth of cellular phone in United states, this developed country can be use as a benchmark of cellular phone technology in the world. Currently, smartphone user in United states reach 234 million from among total 300 million population in all of the United states in 2010.
There are some smartphone operating system that fight for United States market share, there are: Blackberry(RMI), Iphone(Mac), Windows Mobile, Palm and Android. Based on informationweek.com, in last 3 month android gain the biggest market share increament, 5,2%, so now Android market share is 9%.
Here is the order of Market Share for Smartphone Operating System in United States: Blackberry 42.1%(naik 1.3 %), IPhone 25.4%(turun 0.1 %), Windows Mobile 15.11%(turun 4%), Android 9%(naik 5.2%), and Palm 5.4%(1.8%).
The worst fall down of market share for December 2009 until February 2010 was Windows Mobile Operating System. To anticipate this issue, Windows Mobile will introduce new Windows Mobile 7. Based on some information Windows Mobile 7 will have much better performance and feature compare with the prior version. Palm it self already introduce their WebOs but it cannot compete with Android popularity.
Market share battle for Smartphone operating system will be continue, each operating system will improve their product in terms of performance, flexibility and feature. This will give more quality for the end user.
